Week One of the Shut Down Arrives With A Failed Vote



The U.S. has reached the one week mark on a givernment shut down as a bill to reopen fauked on the fouth attempt on Monday in thr U.S. Senate.


 With negotiations stalled: The main sticking point remains health care funding, particularly Medicaid and ACA subsidies. Democrats demand these be addressed before reopening the government; Republicans insist on passing a clean funding bill first.


The shutdown has now entered its seventh day, with over 750,000 federal workers furloughed and no clear resolution in sight. There us concern that some workers may nkt receive back pay.  


In a statement the TSA emphasized hat it remains operational but warning of potential disruptions if the shutdown continues.  They  confirmed that approximately 61,000 of its 64,000 employees are considered essential and currently cooperation.
