It's full speed ahead for newly confirmed Arizona Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva. Just after being sworn in at the Capitol on Wednesday she told The Slice News she was "eager" to vote for the release of the Epstein Files. As a first order of official business, Grijalva signed the discharge petition for the Epstein Files Transparency Act.   Her endorsement reached the  required 218 signatures  to advance the measure to a floor vote.  It was the last and final signature necessary to potentially secure the records the Department of Justice has kept under lock and key.

HOW THE SIGNATURE UNFOLDED

The Arizona Congresswoman's signature was integral in positiining bipartisan lawmakers to obtain legal documents related to the late pedophile's relationship with Pres. Donald Trump and possibly other   U.S. Representatives — Thomas Massie (R-Ky) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif) — introduced the so-called “Epstein Files Transparency Act” which would require the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publicly release all unclassified documents related to Epstein’s investigations, including communications, flight logs, internal decision-making, etc., with redactions only for victim identities or active investigations.

Because Republican leadership  the process for releasing the files by extending the ped to a discharge petition. A discharge petition is a procedural tool in the U.S. House of Representatives that allows members to bypass committee leadership: if 218 (a majority of the full House) members sign it, the bill can be brought to the floor for a vote even over leadership’s objections.
