POTUS plans to cracks down on police with executive order

buzzz worthy. . .

President Obama is asking for $75 million to invest in 50,000 police body cameras to improve law enforcement over 3 years in response to unrest in Ferguson, a predominately Black community that is policed by a majority of White officers. Obama spoke to press about plans for an Executive Order that would standardize police procedures across the board, which critics are calling the militarization of local police.

The initiative will also seek concrete ways to handle racial profiling.  Obama spoke to activists and community leaders from Ferguson and other parts of the country in a separate meeting to take

Said In the two years that I am remaining president, I am going to make sure that we follow through."

The task force, has 90 days to respond with proposed solutions.

Body cameras are already in use in parts of Northern, VA (Fairfax, Manassas).  Use of the cameras can benefit both the police and the public as it keeps track of both party's actions
