Worship is a huge part of the ministry of Sharon Roshell. She is a strong believer in the power of worship. One listen to “Father of Glory” and it’s clear that this singer is in love with God. The mellow and God-focused track comes directly from the pen of Sharon Roshell. Her passion for God reaches the heart of the believer with every note. It’s that type of sincerity that has been endearing believers to Sharon’s ministry. Recently, she’s been hitting the road, making appearances at several television stations including TBN (in several markets), TCT, Cornerstone TV, Club 36, Babbie’s House, Atlanta Live and on WAVE-TV, the NBC affiliate in her hometown of Louisville, KY. Television audiences have been lifting their hands in worship as the anointed psalmist ministers.
The artist, who has opened up for Hezekiah Walker and Smokie Norful, got her start in music as a child. Both of her parents were music lovers and as she grew up, music blared from the record player constantly. Even greater than her love for music was her love of being in God’s presence. As a young child, she connected with the Lord on a deep level and would sit in her room talk with God for hours. Later on, she began singing and then she learned to play the piano. Her singing family ministered at churches, nursing homes and in homes of the elderly and ill. She pursued her musical education at Valor Christian College, graduating with a degree in Praise & Worship Leader. While there and as a member of World Harvest Church in Columbus, OH, she ministered alongside fiery preacher, Pastor Rod Parsley.
In Baltimore, she served as the Worship Leader at Kingdom Life Church and later released three CDs, God Is Bigger, Never Thirst Again and her latest, Church Girl: 2014. After receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Human Services Degree, both from Liberty University, she and her husband started Fuego Corporation, a non-profit organization that cares for and assists foster children.
