PHOTOS: Muslim Americans among protesters at Trump rally in Virginia

ASHBURN, VA -- Donald Trump was greeted by sidewalks filled with protesters when he arrived to at Briarwood High School in Ashburn, VA on Tuesday, Muslim Americans among them. Trump's latest controversy the GOP nominee aftermath of Trump insulting  Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of a Muslim American officer killed in combat in 2004. Mr.Khan spoke about his love for America and his family's sacrifice at the DNC Convention with his wife by his side.  Trump noted how Mrs.Khan was silent and said he has made sacrifices too,although he never served in the military.

Inside the rally Trump stirred up more controversy when kicking a crying baby out of the rally and accepting a Purple Heart from a retired Lt. Col.saying he'd always wanted one and the war hero made it easy for him lacked understanding and respect for the sacrifice that goes along with the honor.

Days earlier Arizona Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war denounced Trump over insulting the Khans and many conservatives have followed suit.

The highly affluent Ashburn area is a swing county in the swing state of Virginia.  Trump said he will be making several more trips back to the must win area.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
