Trump lawyers will not cooperate with judiciary committee subpoenas

Lawyers for President Trump said on Sunday that they would not participate in the House Judiciary Committee’s first public impeachment hearing on Wednesday, airing a long list of complaints that they said prevented “any semblance of a fair process.”

Committee chairman Jerry Nadler gave them a deadline of Friday

Last week he said he wanted everyone to testify...

Before departure to the NATO Summit in England this morning the president apparently changed his mind.

Claiming the Democrats planned the impeachment hearing intentionally to coincide when he would be at The summit he continued to say it is a hoax.

"So the Democrats, the radical-left Democrats, the do-nothing Democrats, decided when I'm going to NATO -- this was set up a year ago -- that when I'm going to NATO, that was the exact time. This is one of the most important journeys that we make as president. And for them to be doing this and saying this and putting an impeachment on the table, which is a hoax to start off with.

Continuing he pointed again out that he has the support of Ukrainian President of Vlodymyr Zelem
Sky.

“If you notice, there was breaking news today. The Ukrainian president came out and said very strongly that President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong. That should be case over. But he just came out a little while ago and said President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong and that should end everything. But it will never end it because they want to do what they want to do. They're getting killed in their own districts. I think it's going to be a tremendous boon for the Republicans.”

The president may have pulled back as he feels emboldened by the unrelenting support of Republicans. It is important to note that many Republicans have unfairly determined the president is innocent without fully hearing the entire impeachment case against him. Nonetheless, Trump is reflecting a confident attitude about the possible outcome of the final leg of the impeachment process because of Republican loyalty.

“Republicans have never, ever been so committed as they are right now and so United. So it's really a great thing in some ways but in other ways it's a disgrace. It's a disgrace for our country."

Mick Mulvaney and FLOTUS chief of staff Lindsay Reynolds were among the aides who join the presdent on trip.
