Singer Alexander O'Neal Loses Home In "Close Call" Fire

  By Mona Austin  On Friday, all four units in  the Willoway Apartments complex in Burnsville, Minnesota were destroyed jn a fire including  — the home of R&B legend Alexander O’Neal and his wife Cynthia.  The artist had just returned home after a two-week hospital stay for bacterial pneumonia and an emlarged heart.  The cord of the oxygen machine he relies on also caught on fire and spread.   Alexander tried to stomp out the floor fire with his bare feet and burned himself in the process.  The couple slowly evacuated to safety down three flights of stair was he walked on injured feet.  Mr. O'Neal had a stri g of bua in the eighties including "She's A Fake."

Tiffany & Co. Redesigns Kennedy Center Medal

In December 2025,  the 48th Kemnedy Cente r Honors will reveal a new medal. Pres. Donald Truml gave recipiwnts  updated medals designed by Tiffany & Co...the gold medallian that hung from a multicolored ribnon now hands from a blue one.      By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:       Section   1 .   Purpose .  United States leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) will promote United States national and economic security and dominance across many domains.  Pursuant to Executive Order 14179 of January 23, 2025 (Removing Barriers to American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence), I revoked my predecessor's attempt to paralyze this industry and directed my Administration to remove barriers to United States AI leadership.  My Administration has already done tremendous work to advance that objective, including by updating existing Federal regulatory frameworks to remove barriers to and encourage adoption of AI applications across sectors.  These efforts have already delivered tremendous benefits to the American people and led to trillions of dollars of investments ...

STATEMENT: Resanctioning Maduro’s Corrupt Nephews and Backers

  Today, the United States is sanctioning four individuals and six entities, and identifying six vessels, for propping up Maduro’s corrupt and illegitimate regime in Venezuela. As the leader of the Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) Cartel de los Soles, Maduro continues to destabilize our region. He and his cronies have flouted the will of the Venezuelan people and devastated the country’s economy. These sanctions target three of Maduro’s nephews, two of whom are convicted narco-traffickers. In October 2022 they were granted clemency by the previous administration as part of a prisoner exchange involving seven U.S. nationals held in Venezuela. Both men returned to Venezuela and, as of 2025, have continued their drug trafficking activities. Today’s action also targets Venezuela’s oil sector, including a businessman and six shipping companies, and identifies six vessels as blocked property. Kilmar Abrego Garcia To Be Released By Judge's Order

A federal judge has ordered the immediate release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from immigration detention ruling he was wrongly redetained in El Salvador. U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis ordered that he is released by 5 PM today declaring he was held without proper authority. Xinis said the government did not present a removal order to properly kick him out of the United States.
