WHITE HOUSE: Significant and severe sanctions are coming from the U.S. (The Slice): Russian Leader Vladmir Putin has ordered Russian forces into Eastern Ukraine on what he claims is a "peace" keeping mission, after recognized the independence of two countries in the region (Donetsk and Luhansk) on Monday. The White House is calling this entrance the "beginning of an invasion." Jonathan Finer s Principal Deputy National Security Advisor said Tuesday morning on CNN to expect the U.S. response to be "swift and severe." Ukrainian leader Vlodmyr Zelensky says he does not think there is going to be a war but to prepare for aggression. World leaders are on edge, with members of NATO including the U.S., expressing distrust in Putin's motive and moving forward with economic penalties to place pressure on the dictator.
