Civil rights champion, Dr. Evelyn Lowery the wife of Civil Rights Leader Dr. Joseph Lowery has passed away. After suffering a stroke last week, Mrs. Lowery died in a Georgia hospital surrounded by family on September 25. She was 88. Both public servants, the Lowerys were married to each other and the cause of social justice for nearly 70 years. Statement for Rev.
