buzzz worthy. . . By Mona Austin After 103 years, the Boys Scouts of America (BSA) has lifted its ban on gays. During a vote on the matter yesterday, 61 percent of the 1400 leaders participating approved of opening membership to gay boys. Gay adults can still not become members. The Boys Scout Pledge ends with a promise "to keep myself morally straight." Many members and parents in the organization do not believe this promise has been kept and will be removing their support. A loss of sponsorship is also anticipated as a part of the fall out, despite a clear majority of the leaders deciding to step away from tradition.
