The top 4 rankings did not change from 2015. The love from Perry's fandom continues to "purr" in, having crossed the 90 million mark back in July, up from 78.3 million the previous year. President Obama is in the #4 position again. Kim Kardashian is a newcomer to the list in the ninth position. Satisfying America's taste for imports, the slow, but steady musical British invasion  continued at last night's American Music Awards as Brits took home top honors.  Brit/Irish pop group One Direction ("Best Song Ever," "Story of My Life") was pronounced Artist of the Year. Eminem received 10 nominations for the 53rd Grammy Awards The nominees in the top five categories for the 2011 Grammy Awards were announced on Dec. 1 in a live telecast on CBS.  LL Cool J hosted the show at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles with announcements being made by celebrity presenters.
