DAWKINS & DAWKINS RETURN WITH LONG AWAITED NEW CD 'FROM NOW ON' IN STORES JUNE 28th

Dawkins & Dawkins return to Gospel music scene after a 10-year hiatus with an all-new studio release, FROM NOW ON, from Light Records

The highly regarded duo - blood brothers Anson and Eric - took a break from performing, yet their unforgettable classics have stood the test of time with national and international media success and continued airplay.  Since their eponymous debut in 1993, Dawkins & Dawkins have provided several memorable contemporary gospel hits like "Everybody Needs Somebody," "God In You," and "I Will Rest."  They received mass attention for FOCUS, their last studio release in 1998.  That record landed in the Top 200 on the Billboard chart and gleaned the hit songs "Need To Know," "Wrapped Up," and "Praisin' On My Mind."

Fast-forwarding to 2011, their new project FROM NOW ON continues their contemporary flow and displays a more mature writing and musical style. It has the Dawkins & Dawkins feel--the signature heart felt vocal style--with a 21st century twist.

The hotly anticipated comeback features musical styles from a span of genres - pop, gospel, R&B and worship. "We're raising the bar with elements that our fans are expecting to hear but also stepping into some areas that we haven't ventured into before, i.e. pop and rock that will no doubt place us in other arenas," said Eric.

FROM NOW ON has something for everyone, especially the exciting first single "Get Down," which is a call to Christ. The song, which speaks to the power of prayer, is wrapped around a hot beat laid with pure Dawkins & Dawkins vocals.  The song, at home in the car, the club, or the church, epitomizes the duo's perfectly honed skill as urban inspirational leaders.
