NEW YORK, NY (July 28, 2011) – TV’s #1 music countdown show just got better—BET announced that 106 & PARK will give its viewers an extra hour of fun for the summer with a brand new 3-hour format. Beginning Tuesday, July 26 until Friday, September 2, 2011, the newly upgraded 106 & PARK will be jammed packed with more music videos and the brightest stars in sports and entertainment. Hosted by the hottest duo on television, Terrence and Rocsi, 106 & PARK will continue to keep the party going weeknights beginning at a new time, 5:00 p.m. with appearances and performances by Oscar-nominated Viola Davis, NBA ballers Lamar Odom and Dwight Howard, Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Swizz Beatz, The Game, Ace Hood, Diggy Simmons, Twist, Trevante, Tyga and the sexy screen siren, Zoe Saldana. 
106 & PARK fans will still be able to keep it live in the social media world with this new format through the 106 & Park App available for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Viewers can vote for the hottest music videos, connect live with the show’s guests and studio audience and keep the conversation going with the more than 2 million fans following @106andPark on Twitter. A powerful presence in the music and entertainment industry, 106 & PARK remains the #1 music countdown show on cable for 15 consecutive quarters among adults, according to Nielsen Media Research, and has been integral in launching the careers of numerous hip-hop and R&B artists.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021.
