Former Essence Magazine beauty icon Mikki Taylor is on a mission to inspire women on military bases. . .

Author and fashion expert Mikki Taylor gears up for her first USO tour, October 15 - 19, 2012, at Joint Base San Antonio and Fort Hood. Taylor will share tips from her industry acclaimed books, "Commander-in-Chic: Every Woman's Guide to Managing her Style Like a First Lady" and "Self-Seduction: Your Ultimate Path to Inner and Outer Beauty," with women in uniform and military spouses. Taylor's trade secrets have helped to influence A-list celebrities, world-renowned cover models, as well as women leaders and now she will share her more than 30 years of beauty expertise with women in the military.

Taylor will deliver her message in intimate tea party settings and give our military women an up close and personal look into the secrets of fashion, beauty and health.

"I look forward to sharing the keys to celebrating one's inner and outer beauty and mastering great style with distinction on my first USO tour. And I am proud to be speaking to a group of women whose lives are an inspiration to us all, the women of our U.S. armed forces," says Mikki Taylor.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans.
