EXCLSIVE INTERVIEW: Mary Mary talk about their show and staying together

buzzz worthy. . .

By Mona Austin

After an emotional Season 1 of the hit faith-based reality show "Mary Mary" fans were left hanging on the proverbial cliff wondering if the stars of the show, Erica and Tina Campbell, would last through another disagreement. Erica and Tina have made it to another season, where they will face the same hectic schedules and new dilemmas with seemingly more headaches than hallelujahs. The saga of life in the entertainment fast lane continues in the WeTV Season 2 premiere of "Mary Mary" when the first of 13 episodes air tonight at 10/9 Eastern/Central time.

Click here to listen to my exclusive interview with Mary Mary as they respond to critics.
This season on Mary Mary the sisters have traded places as Tina is now expecting. Erica is just as driven as ever while their strenuous schedule is draining Tina and she decides to take a break after giving her all. Dates are cancelled, the momentum slows, causing Tina to seriously contemplates going solo.

Meanwhile Goo (their younger sister and stylist) and Mitch Solarek (their manager) are still clashing over wardrobe choices for the group. SPOLIER ALERT: In episode 1 Mitch styles Mary Mary when they are in New York and Goo is in Los Angeles he realizes the wardrobe Goo pulled is not working. Both Erica and Tina agree the outfits he slected were tasteful. Once the group reconnects with their rightful stylist she has that "difficult" coversation with her sisters about the challenges with finding clothing that flatter their figures. "When you guys pick up weight it's alitte more difficult to style you,"says Goo after noticing Erica and Tina snackion junk food. Mitch agreeably chimes in. However, he has a tete a tete with Goo to address disappointment over having to do her job. Mitch says he wants Goo to pay him for acting as the group's stylist, which she refuses to do in yet another verbal confronation. Clearly, more drama is in stor this season.

Off screen, congratulations are in order for the ladies. Last night Mary Mary added two more GRAMMY nominations to their list of honors for "Go Get It," in the Best Gospel Performance and Best Gospel Song caegories, which was co-written by Erica and Tina and their producer, Warryn Campbell. Accoring to a press release, Mary Mary also received a CableFax Award for their show, "Mary Mary," in the faith-based category for Best Show or Series, which is a first for any gospel artist.
