(New York, NY – May 8, 2013) – Music World Music continues to establish itself as an independent label with the muscle of a major. Under the helm of music mogul, label president and CEO, Mathew KnowlesMusic World Music has weathered the changing climate of the music industry over the past twenty years and has remained on top. Just in from Nielsen Soundscan are reports that Music World Music has acquired 8.36% of the market share with BMG/Verity (now RCA Inspirational) claiming 19.83 % of the market share and EMI Gospel (now Motown Gospel) following with 9.25% of the market share. Music World Music’s placement puts the imprint ahead of industry peers Sony/Columbia, RCA, E1 Music Ent., Gospo Centric and others and marks the imprint’s third consecutive year moving up in its market share holdings.

 Music World Music boasts the coveted title of the largest owned and operated African-American gospel label in the US. 2013 will see the release of several projects including the May 14th dual release of Ultimate Gospel Volume 6 Sunday Morning featuring Music World Gospel Artists, Brian Courtney Wilson, Joshua Rogers, Juanita Bynum and Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Ultimate Gospel Volume 7 Contemporary Ladies of Gospel featuring former and current Music World Gospel artists Le’Andria Johnson, Michelle Williams, Alexis Spight, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and Amber Bullock. 

Summer time will bring the release of a Trin-I-tee 5:7 Hits Compilation album (7/23) featuring some of their greatest hits along with a DVD collection of their best videos. The fourth quarter of the year will see some of the most highly anticipated releases from Music World Gospel artists Le’Andria Johnson (9/10/13), Andrea Helms (10/15/13) and Brian Courtney Wilson (11/19/13).Music World Music continues to reinvent itself and reinforces a standard of excellence as a trusted leader in innovation, quality, and vision.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021. The couple had been in a relationship for 15 years. Pastor Winans was previously married to fellow gospel singer Vicki Winans (with whom he has two sons) for 16 years before they divorced in 1995.
