About Judge Mablean: Before fittingly portraying a judge in Madea’s Family Reunion and Madea Goes to Jail, Judge Mablean served as the judge on the courtroom series Divorce Court from 1999 to 2006. Judge Mablean’s trademark phrase “Look deep before you leap” soon became a household phrase. Judge Mablean is returning back to daytime television in the fall of 2014 with a new court show “Justice With Judge Mablean” which has been cleared in syndication in over 75% of the country. About Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards & Scholarship Brunch: The Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards program is an event designed to pay tribute to everyday fathers who go about their daily lives providing the love, nurturing and support their children need, but who often go unnoticed. Its purpose is to highlight the fathers in our community who are indeed great role models of fatherhood with an effort to dispel the negative image of the “Dead Beat” dad. Too much focus is placed on the absent and neglectful father in the news, radio, television and film. Little attention is given to fathers who do their job well. The Mablean Ephraim Foundation has been honoring men who make us proud for the past (12) years.
