"My Life as a Dad", a Web series that delves into the lives and fatherhood experiences of celeb dads has rounded up top NFL fathers to discuss how they play one of their most important positions off field--the position of father.
With the recent incidents of domestic violence and accusations of child abuse clouding the image of the National Football League, a program showing numerous players in a positive light is a welcome arrival. Over the next five weeks, The Slice will post a new episode of "My Life as a Dad" featuring a top NFL player addressing life outside of the stadium.
"My Life As A Dad" host Daddy Nickell sat down with players such as Super Bowl 2014 Champion Michael Robinson of the Seattle Sehawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Safety Dashon Goldson. From their "Daddy Time" activities to tried-and-true tips for new dads the players gladly open up.

In the first 5-minute episode, Seattle Seahawks Superbowl champ Michael Robinson shares the values her instills in his children and advice for new NFL fathers:
On being a good example for his children to follow as a husband: [By example] "I feel like for my girls I'm teaching them the man the should one day marry. . .
You teach your sons how to love a woman and they learn that by how you treat your wife."
On how his kids reacted to him winning Super Bowl 2014: "Because it was in New York and we were expecting bad weather, I didn’t bring them all out there...They all got in front of the TV and watched it. When I got home, they were so excited and thought that I was actually bringing confetti home with me!"
On seeing his one-year-old baby right after his big Super Bowl win: "Being able to see my kid after being out on the field, going to war with my teammates, and battling it out kind of neutralizes me...I think that was probably the best moment of my life.”
His top advice for young NFL players who are about to become a father: "Football is a stressful sport, and sometimes it’s hard to keep all of the stresses associated with football on the field...I would advise all NFL fathers to talk to their kids and be there and be present with them. Try to keep all the football worries out of the picture during this time.”
