R&B Legend Bill Withers was among the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class inducted into the prestigious music organization during its 30th anniversary ceremony on April 18.  John Legend performed in honor of the "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" singer, while Stevie Wonder inducted him.

Wonder played "o Sunshine" on the harp, then  joined  Legend on “Use Me” followed by Legend's  piano performance of “Lean on Me.”

Withers gushed with admiration when accepting the honor , "Stevie Wonder knows my name and he's inducting me into the Hall of Fame," said the 67-year-old celebrant.

Joining Withers were punk-pop band Green Day and Lou Reed, the primary force behind the Velvet Underground, who music aficionados consider as one of the most influential rock musicians in history. Held at the Rock and Roll Hall o Fame Museum in Cleveland,

Paul McCartney was on hand to induct Beatles band mate, drummer, Ringo Starr as a solo recipient of the "Award o Excellence. Joan Jett (and the Blackharts) was the only woman in this year's class.  She was saluted by Miley Cyrus, who admitted they smoked marijuana together and she had a sexual attraction to the seasoned female rocker.   Among others, Blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan,  was honored posthumously by guitarist and singer John Mayer. Vaughn died in 1990.
