The 2015 GRAMMY Amplifier® winner Wes-Tone releases his emotionally charged single "Diamond In The Rough" — available at https://soundcloud.com/grammyamplifier/diamond-in-the-rough-by-wes-tone — on July 24.

The single was written by Wes-Tone and produced by GRAMMY®-winning producer Ben Fowler (Eric Clapton, Rascall Flatts, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift) and features singer/songwriter Danielle Diamond, who inspired the lyrics. Wes-Tone was chosen by Amplifier ambassador Mark Ronson and this year's program curators — GRAMMY Award winners The Band Perry and Ziggy Marley and singer/songwriter Allen Stone. As an Amplifier winner, Wes-Tone won the opportunity to work with one of today's most talented producers in one of the world’s most renowned professional recording studios.

In conjunction with the “Diamond In The Rough” track release, Hyundai and The Recording Academy® partnered with Country Now, the most viewed and highest-rated dedicated country music YouTube channel, to debut a behind-the-scenes video captured during the two-day recording session in Nashville at Ocean Way Studios. The video spotlights Wes-Tone's journey through the in-studio recording process and details how the single became a duet with Diamond. The making of video can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Jt4nbZRIOHw, as well as the GRAMMYs® official YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cvodfrYLQU&feature=youtu.be

“The Hyundai GRAMMY Amplifier studio session raised the bar for me and gave me higher standards to aspire towards,” said Wes-Tone. “Collaborating with Fowler and the high caliber studio musicians opened my eyes to the next level of music production. I’m inspired to continue refining my craft and take it even further.”

“It was really a pleasure to work with Wes-Tone,” said Fowler. “He was professional, collaborative and eager to absorb any knowledge that he could.  He really took full advantage of the opportunity that the GRAMMYs afforded him.”
