Baby on Board: Kandi and Todd are expecting a baby after difficulty conceiving

buzzz worthy. . .

By Mona Austin

Like millions of African American women suffering from Fibroids, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) star Kandi Burruss knows the journey to motherhood isn't easy, but she can also attest it isn't impossible.

Burrus and Todd Tucker, her husband and co-star  are expecting their first child together!
“We’re so thrilled to announce the news of our bundle of joy, it’s a dream come true. Our daughters, Kaela and Riley, couldn’t be happier about becoming big sisters,” Burruss announced on Instagram.
The blatant omission of other family members in the announcement has sparked curiosity about how  Kandi's opinionated mother, Momma Joyce responded to the news. Momma Joyce has been a staunch critic of her daughter's relationship with Todd and the in-laws have had several touchy exchanges.  Miss Sharon, Todd's mother and Momma Joyce had a volatile relationship that nearly got physical.  Sadly, Sharon died last season and won't be around to see her grand child.

Fortunately, Momma Joyce seemed to be ready to let by-gones-be-by gones on The Real Housewives spin off, "Ski Trip" where both families ventured to Colorado for R&R and conflict resolution. The couple shared in their exclusive Baby announcement to E News! that Momma Joyce is also happy for them.

Even though Kandi said she had to take fertility drugs to help mother nature along, she has had a smooth pregnancy for the past six months.

RHOA worked Todd and Kandi's struggle to conceive  into the story line last season. Both the mommy-and-daddy-to-be wanted to have more children, but Todd spending more time in Los Angeles producing Hollywood Divas and Kandi having Fibroids stalled the action.  They each came into their marriage with a daughter from past relationships.

"I think our baby is like a blessing for a new beginning," said the gushing  reality star and music producer.

Surrounded by estrogen, the doting couple say they are both hoping for a boy.

We'll be keeping Kandi an Todd in our prayers and wishing for a bouncing baby boy, which Kandi says is due in January 2016.
