Dems schedule protest in front of Trump Hotel on 9/16 to demand release of tax returns and 'meaningful' health records

WASHINGTON – Donald Trump, the least transparent candidate in modern history, will deliver remarks from his hotel in Washington D.C. tomorrow morning.

Democrats and labor leaders will hold a press conference before Trump’s speech calling on him to finally disclose his tax returns, his foreign investments, his charitable giving, and meaningful health records – all of which he has largely concealed from public view.

Americans for Tax Fairness, a group that advocates for a tax system that works for everyone – not just those at the top – will be delivering a petition bearing the names of 450,000 Americans demanding that Donald Trump release his taxes.

Instead of grading Donald Trump on a curve – he should be held to the same standard as every past nominee in the modern era. Trump should immediately release his tax returns and disclose other critical information that other candidates have disclosed in the past.

WHO:
House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA)
Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD)
Carlos Jimenez, Executive Director, Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO
Frank Clemente, President, Americans for Tax Fairness

WHERE:
In front of Trump International Hotel, on the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street, NW

WHEN:

 9:00 a.m., September 16, 2016
