Trump pulls out of Iran Nuc Deal spiking fear of rising gas prices, war

“The United States does not make empty threats,” Pres. Donal Trump said  on Tuesday announcing his decision to pull out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. All sanctions that were lifted under the 2015 accord forged by Pres. Barack Obama will be reimposed Trump said.  Further justifying his actions, Trump later tweeted:  "At the heart of the Iran deal was a giant fiction: that a murderous regime desired only a peaceful nuclear energy program.…"

With Iran being a top supplier of oil and gas to America, Experts say this was a bad move that will cause gas prices to skyrocket.  The price of case was already on the rise at around 70 dollars a barrel.  Consumers in Los Angeles already paying $3.73 per gallan may see a greater spike.  Crude oil and pertroleum will also take a hit.  Critics also fear thhe decision may increase the production of mucelar weapons and lead to war.  A day after the decision, Iran executed rocket strikes from Syria against Israel.

On the other hand, proponents of the decision feel it was a good one because such accords should not he determiend unilaterally.  In a statement, Sen. Ben Sasse (R- Nebraska) applauded Trump for breaking off a treaty that he claims was made as a personal decision by Pres. Obama.

European allies are not supportive of Trump's choice.
