Trump openly disagrees with senior adviser and slams Biden while in Japan

Pres. Trump and the FLOTUS  have returned to the U.S. from a 4-day trip to Japan this afternoon.

As American observed Memorial Day in the U.S., the first couple addressed U.S. troops overseas.  A Twitter user found the timing of the trip "odd" considering Memorial Day is an important militaristic and patriotic period for America

The this Japan trip may stand out for three other reasons.

First, Pres. Trump was the first head of state to formally meet the new

The two other reasons this trip will be remembered are not positive. While on foreign soil, Trump contradicted National Security Adviser  John Bolton, siding with the N. Korean leader on missle testing and his opinion of VP Joe Biden. Bolton said the testing violated U.N resolutions.  Trump said the tests personally did not bother him and  quoted the country's dictator Kim Jong Un who said Biden had a low IQ.  When asked if he was siding with Chairman Kim over a U.S. citizen and former VPOTUS he said he does not take sides and further dug into Biden by calling the Obama administration a disaster on many fronts including the Iran nuclear deal.  He tweeted that he was no bothered by the small weapons Kim fired and is confident he will keep his promise to him. "I personally think lots of good things will come from North Korea." It is generally frowned upon to bring up domestic politics related to issues with an opponent on the international stage.

Although the primary focus of the trip was to discuss bilateral policies between the U.S and Japan with Abe, the experience included a palace visit and cultural events such as attending a wrestling match.  He awardee a the champion Sumo wrestler the U.S. Presidential Cup.
