Sen. Rand Paul calls for media to release the name of the whistleblower at Kentucky rally

"Do your job and print his name!" Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul yells at media at a rally in support of the governor Matt Bevin, urging the release of the name of the whistleblower. "The whistlebower needs to come before Congress as a material witness! "exclaimed Paul standing next to Pres Trump as a crowd stood behind them wearing t-shirts with the words "Read the Transcript" printed on them.

For the most part, the GOP wants to anonymous person whose alerted the government that Pres. Donald Trump was operating with the president of the Ukraine in an unusual fashion to be revealed the president and the public.

Sen. Chuck Grassley head of the Senate Finance Committee, has broken with the party with a difference in opinion. In early October he stated, "This person appears to have followed the whistleblower protection laws and ought to be heard out and protected. We should always work to respect whistleblowers’ requests for confidentiality."

Grassley is not the only GOP leader who wants to protect the whistleblower.

"Going after the whistleblower is misdirected," said Republican Mitt Romney, saying they should especially be protected for coming forth with information pertaining to the government.

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan and South Carolina's Sen. Lindsay Graham have echoed the president's sentiment that his accuser should be exposed. "Without the complaint there would be no impeachment inquiry," said Graham.
.
Paul wants Republicans to dismiss the impeachment inquiry as a "farce" if Hunter Biden and the whistleblower are not called forth.
