Clear of COVID-19 Trump campaigns for Black and Latino votes at White House law and order protest

(The Slice): In his first public appearance since contracting the Coronavirus, Pres. Donald Trump torched the Democrats record on protecting Blacks and Latinos from crime and violence. "Democrats have run nearly every inner city in America -- and I mean for a hundred years -- and their policies have delivered nothing but calamity, poverty, and trouble." Sleepy Joe Biden has betrayed black and Latino Americans. If you think he can run this country, you’re wrong." Organized by the Blexit group, the event was billed as a peaceful protest but did not address specifc police violence against Blacks or Black Live Matter that are at the root of the discussion or the recent plot by right wing extremists to kidnap the Democratic Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer. Instead, Pres. Trump used the opportunity once again to praise police and campaign against his oppoent Joe Biden instead of focusing on a unifying message.

The president painted a scary picture of minority communities being under attack and Biden being aloof abput the situation. He said, . . ."the homes and churches and businesses of black and Hispanic Americans have been looted; you know that.  They've been vandalized and burned by left-wing fanatics.  Total bad people.  They know what they're doing.  Yet Biden likes to call them “peaceful protesters.”

Blexit co-founder Candace Owens reportedly paid for the travel and lodging of some of the Black people attending the staged protest, which some say is an indirect way of buying votes. The goal of Blexit is to convince Black voters to exit the Democratic party that is claims has done nothing but handicap Blacks.

This was not the only controversy coming out the event. Online, complainers said the event come off as a rally. The Trump Administration has been called out previously for appearing to violate the Hatch Act which prevents a sitting presidnet form campaign on White House grounds. However, the event was presented to media as an official event from the president himself. Trump acknowledged Blexit as the organizer in his rather brief 18-minute speech.

White House Physican Sean Conley released a statement Saturday saying tests showed the virus was no longer reolicating in his system.
