After Winning Multiple Pitch Competitions, And On The Heels Of A Successful Crowdfunding Campaign, "Sauce Boss" Tyla-Simone Crayton Scores Big By Securing Partnership With Scott

(MISSOURI CITY, TX) - Last Friday, fellow Texans and female entrepreneurs Tyla-Simone Crayton and Kendra Scott struck a $100,000 deal on "Shark Tank" (ABC) for investment in the condiments company, Sienna Sauce.

Crayton, flanked by her mom (Monique), pitched her product to the panel of sharks that also included Mark CubanBarbara CorcoranLori Greiner, and Kevin O'Leary. Having built a billion dollar business "out of a spare bedroom" in her mother's home in Texas, Scott identified with Crayton, saying "I am your shark." In return for a financial commitment of $100,000--and mentoring the young entrepreneur--Scott will receive a 20% stake in the company.

Launched in 2017, by the self-proclaimed "Sauce Boss," Crayton (age 17), it did not take long for the home-based business to be recognized for its "taste" and "flavor." In 2018 and again in 2019, Sienna Sauce beat out 15 other brands competing in the coveted Sauce-A-Holic Fest, which began a streak of wins for Crayton.
Sienna Sauce was awarded $25,000 on the ABC show "Strahan, Sara and Keke" as a part of the Side Hustle Showdown. In 2020, Crayton won $10K from the Accelerator Pitch Competition hosted by Essence and another $10K in the Revolt Pitch CompetitionSienna Sauce was selected as the runner-up in a $100K pitch competition hosted by Grammy winning recording artist turned startup angel investor Chamillionaire.

Crayton impressed the rapper so much that he helped execute a successful crowd investment campaign on Republic.co to expand the company's business operations. Chamillionaire also made a personal investment in the company.

"Sienna Sauce was a runner-up in my pitch competition and I really like tracking this company," said Chamillionaire in a statement. "I invested in Sienna Sauce because I back startups that have domain expertise, resiliency, and a road map that I believe could potentially lead to success."
Crayton first created Sienna Sauce when she was just eight years old. By age 14, she had started selling wings dipped in the delicious sauce out of her home in the Missouri City, TX community where she lives. Eventually, she decided to ditch the wings and bottle the sauce.
