Former Pres. Donald Trump is at it again -- using a similar message that nudged his followers into commiting the Jan. 6 insurrewction. This time he overtly evokes race, which many people beleive is the source of the tension in the GOP. Liz Cheney, who has been treated as a GOP reject was joined by a few other Republicans standing against Trump's speech and his call to have participats in the Jan. 6 Capotol riot pardoned. "Trump uses language he knows caused the Jan. 6 violence; suggests he'd pardon the Jan. 6 defendants, some of whom have been charged with seditious conspiracy; threatens prosecutors; and admits he was attempting to overturn the election," U.S. Representative Liz Cheney posted on Twitter on Monday. "He'd do it all again if given the chance." On Sunday evening, jsut a day after his controversial speech, in a statement reiterated the false claims that Vice Pres. Mike Pence, "could have overturned the Election." Pence's role was strictly to confirm the voted that had been certified by every state. Trump lost the 2020 presdiential election. Democrat Joe Biden won. Trump and his supporters have perpetuated the "big lie" since the less without any proof. The speech was forwarded to the FBI for investigation.
