The season 2 reunion of "Love Is Blind" is out today. Veterinarian Shake was  one of three couple left at the altar, unable to find a sexual attraction with Deepti,  the woman he asked to marry him.  Throughout  the season he talked about being emotionally but not sexually connected to Deepti, claiming he loved her. His dilemma raised the question of whether a marriage can work without the initial physical spark., which is tolerated in arranged marriage.  The Indian couple is familiar with this custom and Shake seemed open to "growing into" passion, but his non-traditional bride left him saying she deserved more upfront. In the clip Shake tries to justify his unconventional thinking and   faces the wrath of hosts Nick Leshay and his co-host wife.  "I can see now why you don't treat human beings, " Leshay told the doctor.  Several of the couple who separated during their wedding ceremony worked on their relationship after the show but decided not to stay together.

Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021. The couple had been in a relationship for 15 years. Pastor Winans was previously married to fellow gospel singer Vicki Winans (with whom he has two sons) for 16 years before they divorced in 1995.
