Juanita Bynum filled a toy gun with anointed oil in demonstrationJuanita Bynum filled a toy gun with anointed oil in demonstration

 Dr.

During a message regarding spiritual warfare, Dr. Juanita Bynum used a water gun filled with anointing oil as a prop causing critics to question the spiritual purpose of the antic. She explained that she combined the oil from three people she knew. "The night before the conference the Lord said to me: 'I want you to pour all your oil from you mother, from Pastor Boyd, from your aunt. that is going to be your sacrifice, because the anointing that is on every bottle is what's going to sit on people." The audience cheered when she presented to clear gun with oil in it. She said God has told her not to put it in a bottle because, "These people are weapons."

The demonstration was symbolic of who Christians supposed to respond to combat spiritual warfare.
God is raising up an army to fight against the devil in which he is deputizing" believers Bynum explained earlier in the clip. Now Bynum has already has a reputation for being a false prophet and has been accused of fleecing the church by charging $1500 for a course on prayer, but this time she is being accused of being a heretic for taking scripture out of context.

Many viewers left comments saying that the prophetess had gone too far to make her point. The audience shouted and cheered, appearing to be fully receptive as she brandished to the toy gun, soaking up every word. While walking across the stage pointing the gun she encouraged them to anoint themselves when the enemy attacks., seeming to suggest that they spray oil on themselves using a their own water gun.

The choice of prop has not only been condemned for being unnecessary and straying too far away from the Gospel but also it was shunned as gun violence and mass shootings are at an epidemic level in the United States.

Dr. Bynum has not responded to the viral videos that question her motive.
