BREAKING NEWS : Trump Convicted in Hush Money Trial

By Mona Austin

A Manhattan jury has found former Pres. Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts in a "hush money" case revolving around his attempt to cover up an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels. A 12-person jury delivered the unprecedented decision after nearly 12 hours of deliberations.

The verdict confirmed Trump's $130k pay out to Daniels was done to hide their relationship while he was running for office. Trump is the first ex-president in history to be convicted of a crime. Being found of guilty linked to falsifying business records finally shows he is not above the law.

But when it comes to getting indicted in court the 45th president has been there, done that and has the t-shirt, but so far has not suffered the consequence. Will Trump get jail time or continue to run for the presidency? In an email sent out to constituents shortly after the verdict the freshly convicted felon stated no matter how many times he's indicted he will "never surrender."

After a 5-week trial a jury of his peers returned a verdict in two days. Sentencing is scheduled and it is fully left in the hands of Judge Juan Merchan whether the ex-U.S. leader will be incarcerated. Trump's attorneys have already requested an acquittal, which Mechan immediately rejected.

The White House Counsel’s Office spokesperson: “We respect the rule of law, and have no additional comment.”

The Biden campaign pounced on the news to fund-raise too. “There’s only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: At the ballot box,” Biden posted on X, alongside a link for donations.
