(TSN): A diplomatic triumph for Pres. Joe Biden and his security leads unfolded in a commendable Russian hostage release before dawn in Washington on Friday, completing a remarkable week of leadership from the 46th POTUS that began with proposals to overhaul the operations at the U.S. Supreme Court.

A 12-hour flight back into the arms of loved ones ended around midnight. Wall Street Journal report Evan Gershgovich lifted his mother off her feet with excitement.

The scale of the return of three wrongfully detained Americans and a green card holder from Russia solidifies Mr. Biden's prowess in international affairs. Upon making the announcement at the White House on Thursday, he underscored the importance of having the support of multi-national allies who were instrumental in making the deal. Several NATO partners, including Russia and Slovenia entrusted their standing to the U.S. to assist with the release. Mr. Biden had expressed his focus on getting hostages released during the NATO Summit in Washington


Hostage releases have been a priority for the Biden Admi distraction over the last 3 years securing over 70 releases.

"The toughest call in this one was for other countries -- is their -- I asked them to do some things that were against their immediate self-interest and really very difficult for them to do, particularly Germany and Slovenia," the president told reporters after the hostages landed at Joint Base Andrews early Friday morning.
