For singers, the voice itself is an instrument.  Sometimes it needs rest and repair due to overuse.  Not just any old remedy will do for professional singers.  Some artist have full blown rituals to help heal tried and worn vocal chords.  Some resort to sipping tea as the referred method of healing.  A Nashville-based vocal coach who works with well known Christian and Country singers, Diane Sheets,  has created the  tea of the stars, Voice Tea. Jason Crabb, Selah and others celebrated the launch of Voice Tea at a “tea party” in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Celebrity vocal coach Diane Sheets unveiled VOICE TEA, her personal line of hand-crafted tea blends, at an official launch party Tuesday, March 15, in Nashville. The event was held at SHINEWORTHY TEA—the company that partners with Sheets to package and distribute the tea worldwide—where attendees were treated to samples of VOICE TEA’s signature blend, Green Room. In addition, the evening featured live music from GRAMMY® award winner Jason Crabb, Dove Award-winning vocal group Selah, singer/songwriter Lindsay McCaul, EMI Records Nashville recording artist Kelleigh Bannen, songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Paige Blue, country/rock newcomer Chelsea Bain and RED BOW Records artist Rachel Farley.
Sheets, who is known for her work with both Christian and Country artists, originally began blending tea while on the road during a 2012 multi-artist holiday tour. Her clients were looking for a tea that was good for their voice but also had a pleasing taste. Sheets’ tea quickly became a favorite among the tour’s artists, and that’s when she decided to create a line of teas that catered to singers’ needs.
“I was so excited to find just the right ingredients to blend something that my clients loved but was also a tea that would keep them healthy, especially during long stints on the road. I never dreamed that VOICE TEA would eventually turn into its own product line,” Sheets says. “The Nashville music community has been so incredibly supportive. I am thrilled to be able to provide a tea that allows artists to keep their voice at its peak performance level, and I'm so happy to have found a kindred spirit in SHINEWORTHY TEA. I couldn’t ask for a better partner.”
Initially, VOICE TEA was only available for Sheets’ elite clientele that includes A-listers like Little Big TownNatalie GrantMatt Maher and Casting Crowns, among others. However, as word-of-mouth quickly spread, demand sky-rocketed, leading Sheets to partner with Nashville-based SHINEWORTHY TEA.
“I am so excited to be working alongside Diane Sheets and her VOICE TEA business venture. As an executive at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment for 15 years, I have a great appreciation for the music industry. I started my career in Christian music and remained devoted to the music, the message, and the amazing talent even when I started my tea business,” shares SHINEWORTHY TEA owner Sue Ann Cordell. “As the exclusive blender and distributor for VOICE TEA, I get the best of both worlds. It’s great working behind the scenes and knowing what we do at SHINEWORTHY TEA is helping others spread their message of hope through the songs they sing and the words they speak.”
Green Room—a mix of herbal green rooibos tea, ginger and whole dehydrated lemons—is VOICE TEA’s inaugural blend. Sheets is already hard at work crafting additional blends slated to debut later this year. VOICE TEA is currently available at SHINEWORTHY TEA’s storefront in Nashville and online at www.VoiceTea.com.
