buzzz worthy. . . Controversial singer Tonex (AKA B Slade) has been a chameleon, vaccilating between gospel and R&B, bi-sexual, gay and straight. In an upcoming PBS documentary, "The New Black Church" he addresses the dichotomy of his role as a gay minister. After coming out, the "Make Me Over" artist reinvented himself professionally and seems to be assuming the position of mouth piece for a community that he deems has been silent for far too long -- Black Christian Gays. From the trailer he appears to have gained comfort in going from living and alternative lifestyle to espousing an alternative church. Bishop Yvette Flunder and Bishop Carlton Pearson join the conversation when "The New Black Church" airs on June 15. Check your local listings for air times. BACKSTORY: Tonex's Essence Interview
