"A Seat at the Table" sits on top of the Billboard 200 chart. Throughout the year Knowles express her frustration with racism in America. Physically, the album is an ode to Black beauty. Lyrically, it is an ode to Black sacrifice. The CD title is a metaphor for fairness and equality.
