The #1 film at the 2020 Oscars could only be understood with subtitles first time in the history of the award show, giving international films a major boost.  "Parasite," a foreign language thriller became the first non-English speaking film ever to win the Best Picture honor. The film also won with Best Director going to South Korea's Bong Joon Ho. Early prediction saw "1917" as the Best Picture favorite since it led at the Golden Globes, Producers Guild, and Directors Guild awards. It had a strong night winning four tech prizes including cinematography and sound mixing.  Netflix entered the ceremony with the most nominations (24)  but  only won two gold statuettes. "The Irishman" was  Sir Wilton John won his first Oscar in 25 years for his song "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" from the film "Rocketman" about his life. buzzz worthy. . . Continuing on a roll, 12 Years A Slave earned the  Best Film award at the BAFTA's, Britains version of the Oscars. Watch Director Steve McQueen accept in the video clip below. The film's producer, Bratt Pitt, looking rather svelte at 50, also triumphed with style watchers. He and Angelina Jolie showed up in matching tuxedos. Jolie, usually goes for glamour wearing a gown, but this time toyed with the tuxedo idea, wearing a pant suit with and open bow tie and looked just as stunning.
