(The Slice): Before taking a Christmas break with family, POTUS and FLOTUS Biden visted the patients, staff and members of the administration at the National Children's Hospital. Mrs. Biden, who has recovered from a recent bout of laryngitis, read "A Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. "We had a little snow today,” she noted before starting the reading. President Biden held the book. “That’s my job,” POTUS said. Last year the president became the first sitting leader to visit the hospital where they paid a special stop to the cardiac unit this year. Mrs. Biden thanked the staff and children for listening to her reading. Before leaving, the President shared words of encouragement to the parents of the I'll children: "To all you parents, be strong. We spent a lot of time in children's hospitals with patients too, It's going to be OK."
