Chris Brown becomes first R&B artist to reach 100 hits on the BILLBOARD HOT 100 Chart
(The Slice Report): Chris Brown was only 16 when "Run It" posted as a #1 single. Over his career the multi-platinum selling singer has had a stream of songs to make the charts, although "Kiss Kiss" and "Run It'" were the only two to top the ultimate Billboard Top 100 Hits list at #1. Fifteen years later, now 31, Brown has snagged his 100th hit with ‘Not You Too,’which was a mixtape collaboration with Drake, becoming the first R&B artist in history to have 100 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. The Slice reported earlier this year that Drake holds the record for the most hits ever on that same chart with well over 200. With exactly 100 Hot 100 hits, Brown is only the 8th artist in this special "centennial club" of artists, surpassing James Brown.
