Happy birthday Joshua Rogers

buzzz worthy. . . (NEW YORK, NY - MARCH 22ND 2013) - Affectionately known as "Young Buck" to fans across the world, singer  Joshua Rogers  is celebrating his 19th birthday today.  Rogers  has had an incredible year, making a name for himself as the first male and youngest winner of BET's  Sunday Best  last season. Newly signed to Mathew Knowles' Music World Gospel,  Rogers'  debut album  Well Done  shot to #1 on the Billboard Gospel Charts in its first week of sales and has remained in the top 10 over the past few months. To the delight of his fans,  Joshua Rogers  participated in the star-studded James Cleveland tribute for the 2013 BET Celebration of Gospel set to air on Sunday, April 7th. The singer wowed audiences with his delivery of the James Cleveland classic and  Rogers'  current single " Peace Be Still ."  Joshua Rogers  is set to have an interview with BET  Lift Every Voice ...

SUNDAY BEST WEEK 1 COMMENTARY

The first 10 of 20 contestants on BET’s Idol-styled Gospel singing contest, Sunday Best came out like winners during the first week of competition. The judges mainly lauded their performances only offering minimal corrective advice. With the exception of Nigerian singer Fumni Oduyemi whose nervousness was apparent vocally, the other nine contestants came off as confident and semi-professional as they sang selections by Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams. This season’s top 20 vocalists were chosen from auditions in Nigeria, Philadelphia, Detroit and New Orleans and are vying for the title in New Orleans.
