Black Women Voters Mount Campaign on Reproductive Freedom As Ballot Issue To Protect Abortion (TSN): The end of Roe V. Wade has placed Black women at the center of the culture war on reproductive freedom. According to a new poll from health policy research firm KFF, a quarter of Black women voters say abortion their top issue in this year's presidential election,. A Black women-led reproductive justice organization In Our Own Voice has launched the I Am A Reproductive Justice Voter campaign. Their mission as stated on  www.blackrj.org  is to "engage Black voters in 12 states and mobilize turnout in support of policies that promote Reproductive Justice issues" and to draw more Black voters to the polls. Whether you call her "Mamala," "Auntie Kam", soror, or Sister, or even "Jezebel" as a Texas pastor once did, Harris understands sisterhood and how to use her power to protect women's rights. the lies of which we have not seen in the history of American politics.  This is the value of having representation at the highest level.  From the presence of  women leading on her staff to placing women's issues high on her agenda it is obvious that she is using her role to protect and empower women in America.  Although she has no biological children of her own, it is also  evident from her policy pursuits that Mrs. Harris cares deeply for women and children. After almost 50 years, abortion rights could be destroyed in the U.S. Politico released an exclusive about the decision Justice Samuel Alito drafted, revealing the intent to overturn the law by empowering states to address abortion cases. In 1973, the Roe v. Wade decision affirmed the right to receive an abortion under the 14th Amendment. The Constitutional protection placed potential rulings on abortion cases in the hands of justices on the federal bench. In 2021, a challenge to Mississippi's abortion ban advanced to the High Court, which is the case that is under consideration. A reversal in this case set reproductive rights back to ground zero.
