FULL TRANSCRIPT: OBAMA HONORED AT FINAL ARMED FORCES FAREWELL CEREMONY

Obama praised service members and their families for a job well done while noting the military shrunk and sentiment toward the sacrifice of people in uniform waned. He especially saluted the military for taking down Osama bin Laden in the fight against terrorism. Sec. of Defense Ash Carter honored Pres.Obama with a service medal. Ft. Myer, VA: Well, good afternoon. It turns out these are easier when you're talking about somebody else. (Laughter.) At a moment like this, I think of all the times I’ve stood before our men and women in uniform. Commissioning our newest officers. Presiding over promotions.
