Since the days of smut show host Jerry Springer, adults behaving badly have been the center of money-making, ratings-boasting, must-see T.V. The "Jerry Springer Show" primed and desensitized viewers to accepting non-fictional violence so that by the time reality T.V. penetrated programming, grown folks beating the snot out of each other in front of millions of voyeuristic viewers was the unfortunate norm.
