Is the suspension a sign of things to come for the former House Speaker? It has been reported widely that Gingrich, who was suspended from the network when he ran for office in 2011, is on the short list for the veep position. On Tuesday FOX News EVP Jay Wallace, said the network thought it was best to end their agreement to avoid any conflicts of interest. Trump said at a recent campaign event where Gingrich accompanied him that the Georgia politician will have a role in government if he is elected. The announcement of the GOP VP pick is expected to come this week. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is reportedly the other hopeful favored for the Republican VP position.
