Eddie Longs Wife's Divorce Filing Sticks--She Still Wants to Call It Quits

Friday morning Vanessa Long, the wife of Bishop Eddie Long announced in a statement that she was filing for a divorce. Hours later  she recanted the filing in another statement released by New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.   She blamed that filing on years of attack from the media.  It read, "Upon prayerful reflection, I have reconsidered and plan to withdraw my petition for divorce from my husband, Bishop Eddie L. Long. I love my husband."  Making matters more confusing and curious,  in yet another statement, Mrs. Longs attorneys said her original statement  still stands.  The Longs have been legally separated the most recent statement indicated and according to a 12-page divorce petition Mrs. Long  "is entitled to a divorce upon grounds that the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken, there being no hope of reconciliation of the parties, and it being in the best interest of all parties concerned that this marriage...

BISHOP PAUL MORTON SAYS EDDIE LONG MUST REPENT

Morton, founder of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship (FGBCF) that ordained Eddie Long as Bishop, has openly rebuked him for remaining completely mum after settling a sexual coercion scandal involving four young men from his church, New Birth Cathedral (New Birth) in Georgia. To date Long, who is under a gag order, has not so much as offered parishioners, the community or the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship an acknowlegement, apology or admission of innocence or guilt about the allegedly licentious relationships. An audio recording of Morton addressing the matter in a Father's Day message appeared on You Tube.
