IMPEACHMENT UPDATE... By Mona Austin (The Slice): Witness intimidation was a focus of exploration on day-2 of the impeachment hearing. Former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch told Democrat counsels she felt intimidated by the president tweeting @ her while she was giving her testimony. Chairman of the Intel Committee Adam Schiff read aloud a tweet from Pres. Trump live tweeted that things "went bad" wherever she showed up, an action some are calling impeachable itself some pundits say. The witness admitted that she felt intimidated by the tweet and Schiff opined that is it what was "designed" to do. Daniel Goldman, a former legal analyst for MSNBC, was appointed by Schiff to act as Democratic Counsel. posed multiple questions to Yovanovitch about her sudden dismissal from a post she held for 33 years. Partisan stronghold over impeachment process hovers as public impeachment hearing starts (The Slice): "The impeachment hearing is based on a constitutional standard and needs to run its course," Mayor Pete Buttigieg stated recently about the GOP push back as the challenge to presidency of Donald J. Trump. These are empty words to House Republicans who are seemingly ignoring the fact that the Democratic run House has the authority to establish the rules for the impeachment process, a privilege that goes to the party that holds the majority in the chamber -- in this case, the Democrats.
