buzzz worthy. . . The same judge who sent Kentucky clerk Kim Davis to jail for contempt of court ordered her release today. Davis was jailed for refusal to issue marriage licenses to gay couples citing religious reasons. An appeal she submitted to have her signature removed from licenses was denied. The clerk position is an elected office in Rowan Country, KY. Davis returned to work on Monday, September 14 spouting the same non-compliant attitude that got her arrested. The judge stipulated that Davis could not interfere with other staff members issuing marriage licenses. Davis insists that marriage licenses that are being handled by her staff are invalid,while Kentucky state governor and the state's attorney general say they are valid. She could end up back in jail if she does not abide by the judges orders.
