KEN EHRLICH, PHILIP GLASS AND FRANK WALKER TO BE HONORED WITH TRUSTEES AWARD; GEORGE AUGSPURGER TO RECEIVE TECHNICAL GRAMMY ®  AWARD SANTA MONICA, CALIF. -- On DEC. 19, 2019 t he Recording Academy ®  is announced its 2020 Special Merit Awards recipients. The Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are  Chicago ,  Roberta Flack ,  Isaac Hayes ,  Iggy Pop ,  John Prine ,  Public Enemy  and  Sister Rosetta Tharpe .  Ken Ehrlich ,  Philip Glass  and  Frank Walker  are Trustees Award honorees; and  George Augspurger  is the Technical GRAMMY ®  Award recipient. Many entertainers can claim a piece of a sidewalk.  But, few can call an entire street  their own.  This weekend a street was named in honor of singing icon Chaka Khan in the City of Chicago where her life and career began. Her publicist said the 10-time Grammy winner considers the street naming her greatest honor.
