Jake Hoot was crowned the winner of season 17 of The Voice on Tuesday night. The big guy (he is 6’6” ya’ll) with the big voice was a one chair turn selection from team Kelly Clarkson. This is Clarkson's third win. Hoot's performances were so flawless throughout the competition that Clarkson's main advice was for him to keep doing what he was doing. The 31-year-old singer/songwriter is a native of Cookesville, TN. The top four finalists including Jake were Katie Kadan, Ricky Duran and Rose Short. The win was shocking to many voice fans who expected Katie from John Legend's team to reign victorious. Tuesday's airing delivered 8.6 million total viewers and a 1.3 demo rating, reflected a trend in declining viewership.
