Starting the night in seventh place, Douglas lost footing on the balance beam and fell off. She made up for the short fall on the uneven bars. Her stellar record helped secure a ticket to Rio in the end. "Even though I h a couple of mistakes on day 2 I am so grateful and so honored that they believed in me." I still can't even believe it. I am proud and honored to be selected" Douglas said. Simone Biles making the team as the actor was a given after consistently high marks.
