    As the nation turns its attention to gun control, the African American comunity continues to lead in gund deaths across the board.  Gun violence is the  number one cause of death of both youth and Blacks in the United States. While Blacks account for 14% of the U.S population, 52% of Blacks die by homicide in which hand guns are used 88% of the time.  This staggering statistic was revealed in a new study published by the Violence Policy Center in Washinton, DC.  Police data shows that in Chicago 971 popel were shot in the frist 5 moths of the year emphasizin the prevalence of gun use in the Windy Cityl.    In an effort to curve the violence, the Chicago Tribube Newspaper published the names of all 385 victims that have died from un violence so far. Missouri, Illinois and Indiana rank highest for the number of homicides.
